County Mutual Issues Dividend to Member Adams County

Demonstrating the close working relationship with member counties to minimize loss and keep employees safer on the job, the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation (County Mutual) presented a workers’ compensation dividend payment to Adams County totaling, $84,634.90.
The check was given virtually on May 6, 2021 to the Adams County Administration and Finance Committee by County Mutual Risk Management Consultant Jessica Schroeder.
“We are committed to standing alongside our county members and assisting them in managing risk through comprehensive and personalized risk management programming,” said Michael Lamont, chief operating officer for the County Mutual. “We commend Adams County for their diligence in working to keep safety at the forefront of everything they do.”
In addition to insurance coverages, the County Mutual offers a wide array of risk management services to member counties, including online safety training, highway safety days, firearms training simulators, cyber risk training, safety newsletters and educational webinars. Claims tools offered to members include telephonic nurse triage, cost containment, and when claims do occur, active claims management.
“The County Mutual loss control staff typically makes over 500 on-site, and in the past year, virtual visits, to members to ensure safety is a top priority,” said John Dirkse, president of Aegis, which acts as the general administrator of the County Mutual. “Because of this partnership, we are able to make considerable marketplace impacts and help save taxpayer dollars.”
