Implementing an ODIP

For a county looking to use the ODIP, the process is actually quite easy. First, the county should contact Aegis Corporation at 1-800-236-6885 and then complete an application to the DWD. The county must then pass two resolutions, one joining the Wisconsin Capital Projects Commission and one stating the county would like to utilize the ODIP. The county, with assistance from Aegis Corporation, will then meet with the architect or construction manager to include the appropriate insurance language in the bid specifications and go over the bids once they are submitted. While there are building committee members and key people from within the county involved in these meetings, ultimately all approvals are done by county-elected officials.
